Privacy Policy

Effective date: September 22, 2026

True North Safety & Health LLC, doing business as True North Safety & Health Consulting ("True North," "we," "us"), operates www.tnshconsulting.com (the "Site"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through the Site, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. By using the Site, you agree to this Policy.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us. When you submit a quote request or contact form, purchase a service, or email or call us, we collect what you provide: name, company, email address, phone number, project location, service of interest, timeline, and your message. For purchases, our payment processor collects your billing and payment details. We do not receive or store full payment card numbers.

Information collected automatically. Our website platform (Squarespace) and any analytics tools we use automatically collect standard technical data: IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, referring site, and date and time of visits. This is collected through cookies and similar technologies.

Information we do not seek. Please don't send health information, Social Security numbers, or other sensitive personal data through the Site. If your project involves incident or injury records, we will arrange a secure transfer under a written agreement.

2. How we use information

  • To respond to inquiries, prepare quotes, and deliver the services you request

  • To process payments and keep business, tax, and accounting records

  • To operate, secure, and improve the Site

  • To send service-related messages. We send marketing email only if you opt in, and every marketing message includes an unsubscribe link.

  • To comply with law, respond to lawful requests, and establish, exercise, or defend legal claims

3. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not sell sensitive data. We share information only as follows:

  • Service providers that act on our behalf: website hosting and forms (Squarespace), payment processing (such as Stripe or PayPal), email, and analytics (such as Google Analytics). They may use the information only to provide their services to us.

  • Legal and safety reasons: to comply with law, subpoena, or court order; to respond to a government agency; or to protect our rights, property, or safety, or those of others.

  • Business transfers: as part of a merger, sale, or reorganization of our business, subject to this Policy.

  • With your consent or at your direction.

4. Cookies, analytics, and Do Not Track

The Site uses cookies that are necessary for it to function, and analytics cookies that help us understand how visitors use it. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but some features may not work. Third parties, including Squarespace and analytics providers, may collect information about your online activity over time and across different websites when you use the Site. The Site does not currently respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals, because no common industry standard for them exists.

5. Data retention

We keep inquiry information as long as needed to respond and follow up. We keep client and transaction records as long as the engagement requires and as long as tax, legal, and professional recordkeeping obligations require, typically up to seven years. We keep records longer when needed to resolve disputes or defend legal claims.

6. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your choices and rights

You may ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information you've given us, or to stop marketing email, by contacting us at the address below. We will verify your request and respond within 45 days. We may keep information when the law requires it, when we need it to complete a transaction, or when we need it to establish or defend legal claims. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state law, and we will honor them as required.

8. Children

The Site is intended for business users and is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Links to other sites

The Site may link to sites we don't control, such as OSHA.gov. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.

10. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy. We'll post the revised version on this page with a new effective date. Material changes will be highlighted on the Site. Continued use of the Site after a change means you accept the updated Policy.
